Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace is the eighth full length album released by The Offspring, originally released on Columbia Records in 2008.

The album took four years for The Offspring to make. They first began work on the album in 2004, but would not begin recording until November 2006 when it was announced that they were in the studio working with Bob Rock. Although drummer Atom Willard (who left in July 2007) was still a member of The Offspring during the recording of Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace, session musician Josh Freese handled the drum tracks, just as he did on Splinter and Days Go By. This was because of contract issues with Geffen Records, which would not allow Willard to record the album. He eventually decided to leave the band and continue his duties in Angels & Airwaves full-time, while former Face to Face drummer Pete Parada joined the band just prior to the tour and the album's release.

Singles released to promote Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace were "Hammerhead", "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid", "Kristy, Are You Doing Okay?" and "Half-Truism". Although a video was made for "Stuff Is Messed Up", it was never officially released as a single, but saw regular radio play on popular stations such as Southern California's KROQ; it would have been released as the album's fifth single.
